Who is VR for?
DUE TO THE CURRENT COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS AND TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF OUR CUSTOMERS, WE WILL BE INCREASING THE MINIMUM AGE OF OUR CUSTOMERS TO 8 YEARS.
We can cater for all ages from 8 years upwards, with no technical knowledge required whatsoever. We have a huge catalogue of experiences, there’s truly something for everyone and many of our experiences are perfectly playable in a wheelchair.
For children under 18, we require one adult per three children to help supervise and take care of our equipment.
Vulnerable or cared for persons need to be accompanied by an adult or recognised carer over the age of 18 who must remain in the studio whilst the sessions take place.
Pregnant women absolutely fine too!
Can I use the headset with glasses?
Yes, the headset is designed to work perfectly with glasses.
Do I need to bring anything with me?
Please wear comfortable clothing as are experiences can be quite active! We ask everyone to remove their shoes before stepping on our soft floor, so please come wearing socks too!
When should we arrive?
Please arrive no more than 5 minutes in advance of your booking time. We do not have a waiting area, so you’ll have to wait in your car if you arrive any earlier.
How do we find the studio?
Due to the current COVID-19 situation, you will be required to wait outside the building where a member of staff will meet you and take you to the studio.
Is there car parking?
Yes! We are situated next to Stembrook Car Park which has plenty of spaces available.
Do we have to book in advance?
Yes please do! Our standard sessions you can book online, but if you have any issues, please contact us and our friendly team will be able to help. We only accept bookings at least 24 hours in advance and cannot accommodate drop-ins.
How long do we get?
With each hour slot, it varies with your choice of experience and speed of completing it. We will recommend appropriate experiences depending on the size of your group, so everyone will have a go.
Can I book multiple hours?
Yes of course! Whilst 1 hour is a great introduction to VR, an extra hour will give you enough time to try a variety of different experiences! To book multiple hours, simply add the second slot into your basket by heading back to the booking page.
How many people can come?
Due to the current COVID-19 situation, a maximum of 6 people will be permitted to enter the studio. Unfortunately this does mean that no spectators will be allowed.
Do you run birthday parties?
Yes, however, due to the current COVID-19 situation we will only accommodate a maximum of 6 people.
We can provide a PDF party invitation for you to print and use as you wish, and we now offer the option of sweetie cones for an additional price.
What equipment do you have?
Our standalone headsets provide high quality wireless VR, complete with full room scale tracking and controllers. They have a diverse range of fantastic experiences available and you can easily swap to a new experience whenever you like. It’s super easy to use these headsets and there’s something for everyone to enjoy!
Our main headset provides the absolute best experience you can have in VR, with full room scale movement. The view from this headset is projected onto our big projector screen and the audio through our 5.1 sound system. Everyone has a blast using and spectating players on this headset!
Can we do multiplayer experiences?
We have a some experiences where one player is in VR and works together with those who are not. We also have a select few with full multiplayer, but unfortunately the technology isn’t quite there yet for multiple VR players in most of our games! It’s something we’re actively working to bring to VRVE, but at the moment our solo experiences are simply better overall.
Due to the current COVID-19 situation we will be waiving our cancellation policy to allow for those who need to self-isolate.
Our standard booking of one hour for up to 6 people for £60 can be booked directly online. We ask for a maximum of 4 under 18s and there must be at least one accompanying adult.
